In 1921, the National Honor Society was established by the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) to recognize outstanding high school students.
More than one million students participate in NHS activities across all 50 states as the society has become one of the country's leading educational groups.
NHS exists to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. It also challenges its members to actively grow in involvement in community and scholastic activities.
