AP Exams
Each spring, students enrolled in Advanced Placement courses have the opportunity to take an AP examination. A passing score on this exam (a 3, 4 or 5) earns college credit at most colleges and universities. (For detailed credit acceptance use AP Credit Policy Search) GBHS strongly encourages students enrolled in AP courses to plan to take at least one of their AP exams each spring. WHS and RJUHSD only offer AP Exams to students who attend school in the RJUHSD district.
AP Cost Deadlines & Payments
Exams can be paid in-person at Student Services or online at the GBHS Webstore The fee for AP Exams this year will be $105 per exam. Checks can be made out to GBHS. Please be aware that webstore payments have an ~3% added fee.
- (Fall term courses) Students taking AP classes starting August must register and pay for their AP exams by October 31, 2025.
- (Spring term courses) Students taking AP classes starting January must register and pay for their AP exams by March 1, 2026
A Note About Fee Reductions
Some students will qualify for a fee reduction for their exams. If a student qualifies, their exam is offered a significantly lower price ($10). In order to qualify, however, students must qualify for free or reduced lunch. If you believe that you will qualify for a reduced fee for AP Exams, please complete this form.
